galax software package provides XQuery implementation with static typing - command line front-ends, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install galax
galax is installed in your system.
Make ensure the galax package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep galax *
You will get with galax package name, version, architecture and description in a table
